Love Tally is a Melbourne-based sustainable clothing label that believes looking good and doing good aren't mutually exclusive. Their store - built with recycled materials, stocked with ethically produced clothing, and run with genuine commitment to environmental responsibility - needed signage that reflected those values without compromising on style.

They came to Neon Lanes, and together we created something that does exactly that.

The Design: Green, Flowing, and Intentional

The colour choice was clear from the start: green. Not garish neon green, but a softer, deeper shade that reads as natural and considered rather than loud. We matched the LED colour to the brand palette Love Tally had established across their other visual touchpoints - consistent, intentional branding across every element of the store.

The font is flowing script - personal and handcrafted in character, which fits perfectly with a brand that values the human element in its production chain. The sign is mounted on a recycled timber feature wall, and the combination of organic wood grain and glowing LED creates a genuinely beautiful juxtaposition.

Is LED Neon Actually Sustainable?

It's a fair question for a sustainable brand to ask. The honest answer is that LED neon is significantly more environmentally responsible than traditional glass neon - it uses a fraction of the electricity, contains no toxic gases (traditional neon uses mercury or argon), runs at low heat, and lasts many times longer before needing replacement.

For Love Tally, being able to communicate to customers that their in-store signage is LED-powered rather than traditional neon fits naturally with the brand's broader story.
